🖼️Way to Art
As a college student, I had always been interested in art, but my knowledge of contemporary art was limited. So when I heard about the Kochi Biennale 2014, I decided to go out of curiosity. Little did I know that this visit would change my perspective on art and design forever. As I walked through the exhibition, I was struck by the diversity of works on display, and I was particularly drawn to the minimalist visual language of Aram Saroyan, especially his famous work "lighght". The simplicity and elegance of the visual representation of his words, with its repetition of a single word, resonated with me in a way that I found truly inspiring. By distilling visual language down to its most basic elements, Saroyan's work taught me the power of reduction in creating something truly beautiful and meaningful. This realisation has had a lasting effect on my approach to design, and has helped me to find new perspective in the field of art and design.
